Why is my redeemable balance different from my received balance?

Your taco balances track two different things, and it's totally normal for them to show different numbers.

Tacos received

This is your lifetime total — every taco anyone has ever given you, added up. It never goes down.

Redeemable tacos

This is how many tacos you have available to spend in the Taco Shop. It starts equal to your tacos received, and decreases each time you redeem a reward.

Why is my redeemable balance lower than my received balance?

It just means you've redeemed some rewards — that's a good thing! Every time you redeem something from the Taco Shop, the cost comes out of your redeemable balance. Your received total stays the same.

Why does my redeemable balance show a negative number?

This is rare, but it can happen if a redemption was reversed or adjusted after your balance was already used. If you're seeing a negative number and aren't sure why, contact us at heytaco.com/contact and we'll take a look.
