Can admins give bonus tacos to team members?

Yes — HeyTaco has a Taco Bonus feature that lets admins give tacos directly to team members. Bonus tacos are added straight to someone's redeemable balance, separate from the normal daily giving flow.

How to give a taco bonus

Go to Admin → People, find the team member you'd like to reward, and use the Taco Bonus option. You can also give the same bonus to multiple people at once — useful for team-wide rewards. Friendly reminder, that you have to be an Admin in order to use this function.

When to use taco bonuses

Taco bonuses are great for recognizing achievements that happen outside of HeyTaco's day-to-day giving, such as:

• Wellness challenges
• Employee referrals
• Completing training or certifications
• Company milestones or special occasions

What's different about bonus tacos

Unlike tacos given through the normal daily flow, bonus tacos don't come from a giver's daily taco balance — they're added by admins directly to the recipient's redeemable balance. They don't affect leaderboard taco totals.
