How do you calculate the number of people I pay for?
You're billed based on the number of people with active HeyTaco accounts at the end of your 30-day billing period.
An account is created when someone gives or receives their first taco, or when someone logs into the HeyTaco web app for the first time. When you first install HeyTaco, there will be one person on your account — the installer. People are added from there as they start participating.
Removing people
You can remove people at any time from Admin → People. Removing someone before the end of your billing period means they won't be counted in that cycle's charge.
How removal works depends on your subscription type and platform:
- Workspace subscription on Slack — people are removed automatically when their Slack account is deactivated or when they're removed by the admin from Admin —> People
- Workspace subscription on Microsoft Teams — people must be removed manually by a HeyTaco admin from Admin → People
- Team subscription on Slack or Microsoft Teams — people must always be removed manually by a HeyTaco admin from Admin → People, regardless of what happens in Slack or Teams
