How do Taco Tags work?
Taco Tags let you add labels to taco messages to connect recognition to something meaningful — company values, team initiatives, or anything else your culture cares about.
Company values
The most common use of Taco Tags is tagging tacos with your company's core values. When someone gives a taco for going above and beyond, they can tag it #ownership or #collaboration or whatever value it represents. Over time, this surfaces which values your team recognizes most — and which ones might need more attention. It's a simple way to see whether the culture you're building matches the one you set out to create.
Goals and initiatives
Tags also work well for tracking team-wide goals or programs. A wellness initiative, a quarterly goal, or a special project can all have their own tag, making it easy to see how much recognition is happening around those areas.
Fun tags
Not everything needs to be serious. Tags like #kitchenheroes , #gif_master , or #hypemaster are a great way to add personality and inside jokes to your recognition culture.
Editing tags
Tags can be created and edited in the HeyTaco admin settings.
- In Slack, admins can create, edit, and manage tags from the admin settings page.
- In Microsoft Teams, tags can be viewed and used, but editing tags is not currently available.
