Can I launch HeyTaco with just part of my team first?
Yes — you can absolutely start with a smaller group before rolling HeyTaco out to the whole company.
There are two ways to do it:
- Option 1: Limit HeyTaco to specific channels
HeyTaco only sees messages in channels it's been invited to. So if you only want a subset of your team to use it, just add HeyTaco to the specific channels where that group works, and leave it out of everything else. Team members in those channels will be able to give and receive tacos; everyone else won't.
See Can I limit which channels HeyTaco is active in? for details.
- Option 2: Use a Team subscription
A Team subscription lets you pay for and manage a specific group of people rather than your whole Slack workspace. You manually control who's included. This is a good fit if you want a clearly defined pilot group.
See What is the difference between a Workspace and Team subscription? to understand which is right for your setup.
Do you offer extended trials for pilots?
If you'd like a bit more time on your trial to run a proper pilot, contact us at heytaco.com/contact and we'll see what we can do.
