How do I migrate taco data between platforms?

If you're moving from Slack to Microsoft Teams or vice versa, we can migrate your taco data for you. We can transfer all taco balances — given, received, and redeemable — as well as the rewards in your Taco Shop. Taco message history cannot be migrated.

To get started, work through these steps and then reach out:

  1. Download your taco data from your current platform before migrating. You can do this from Admin → Analytics.
  2. Add HeyTaco to your new platform from the HeyTaco website.
  3. Have everyone start giving tacos on the new platform — a HeyTaco account needs to exist for each person before we can migrate their data. Accounts are created when someone gives or receives their first taco.
  4. Confirm everyone has an account from Admin → People.
  5. Contact us and we'll complete the migration within a week.
