There is lots of fun gamification within HeyTaco. One of them are Leaderboards that track everyone's total taco balances and can be filtered for the type of taco, the time frame, as well as the channel in which the taco has been given.
Additionally, every single person unlocks different levels within HeyTaco, as well as Tacotars. Tacotars are Taco Avatars that every single person unlocks based on their giving and receiving behavior. The more you give in HeyTaco, the more you have a chance of unlocking and climbing different levels in HeyTaco.
Another layer of gamification are Stickers. Stickers are items within HeyTaco that you unlock based on your giving and receiving behavior. Just like in elementary school when a teacher gives you stickers for doing a great job, HeyTaco gives you Stickers for being part of the Taco Economy. Formulas for unlocking Stickers are kept private so people can't game the system, but, for example, a Super Taco is unlocked every x amount of tacos a person gives.
The value of a Sticker is realized when you give it to someone. For example, a Super Taco can be given to one person and it is worth two tacos, and the Taco Tree can be given to up to 6 people and they will each receive a taco. You can give a Sticker directly in the web application, or you can do so in Slack as well.
As an Admin, you can also grant people Stickers. For example, if it is someone's birthday, or if you have a manager or a leader that would like to recognize their team, you can unlock a sticker for them.

Why Teams Choose HeyTaco
It's simple, but meaningfulโbeing able to give a taco with a quick message of thanks or recognition helps build a stronger, more positive culture without feeling forced.
DeAnna R., QA Manager
I love how HeyTaco encourages peer-to-peer recognition in a lighthearted and engaging way. It has strengthened our team culture and helped everyone feel appreciated.
Daniel Alberto J., Fraud Analyst
It's simple, fast, and creates an instant boost in morale. People love getting acknowledged publicly, and the taco format makes it feel fun rather than forced. It's especially great in remote teams where spontaneous praise is harder to give. It also encourages a culture of gratitude.
Samantha G., Proposal Manager
It is a quick and easy way to show recognition and celebrate teammates. Initially, I thought it might be cheesy, but when you are able to acknowledge more wins throughout the organization, they quickly become meaningful.
Elaina C., Compliance Manager
It's low-effort, high-impact culture-building โ and honestly, our Slack would feel weirdly empty without it.
Abhinav P., Solutions Engineering
It's brought us closer together as a team, and that's priceless. It also brings more awareness to what everyone's doing, which is another big plus!
