The tacos people earn can be redeemed for rewards in your Taco Shop. You do not need to have rewards to have a successful Taco Economy, in fact we always recommend waiting to add rewards until two to three weeks into your free trial.

There are three types of rewards you can add: Custom, Collaborative, and Gift Cards. Custom rewards are rewards that individuals can redeem for themselves such as lunch with a CEO a company t-shirt or day off. Collaborative rewards are rewards where people can pull their tacos together for a joint experience, such as tacos for charity, or tacos for a virtual happy hour. And then Gift Cards, you can create a gift card from our catalog and have your team redeem gift cards that are automatically fulfilled by HeyTaco.

In order to create Custom and Collaborative rewards you can click on either one of them and then fill out this form which launches the reward in your taco shop.

If you're looking for some reward ideas, on the right hand side you can help yourself and add any of these reward ideas to your Taco Shop. These are some reward ideas that we've seen people have success with over the years for example, a spa treatment which can be easily delivered to your team no matter where they are.

When launching a reward you can edit the description. You can add a redemption amount of how many tacos is this worth, as well as a quantity available. At the end of the reward you can choose to direct message your team about this, and add redemptions instructions. Since Custom and Collaborative rewards are fulfilled by you.

Here's where you can let people know what to expect when they redeem their reward.

To add Gift Cards to your Taco Shop, visit our catalog where you can search for gift cards by categories and countries. HeyTaco offers gift cards that are available in over 100 countries and they're automatically fulfilled by HeyTaco.

You can now see that my Taco Shop includes a variety of rewards of different types Amazon gift cards, Taco Tuesday Collaborative reward, spa treatment, t-shirt from the HeyTaco store, tacos for charity, and a fun half day. Rewards in the Taco Shop are a fun way to add some enthusiasm and excitement to your taco economy, and we always recommend having fun with the rewards switching them up and asking our team for ideas of what they like.

Why Teams Choose HeyTaco

It's simple, but meaningfulโ€”being able to give a taco with a quick message of thanks or recognition helps build a stronger, more positive culture without feeling forced.

DeAnna R., QA Manager

I love how HeyTaco encourages peer-to-peer recognition in a lighthearted and engaging way. It has strengthened our team culture and helped everyone feel appreciated.

Daniel Alberto J., Fraud Analyst

It's simple, fast, and creates an instant boost in morale. People love getting acknowledged publicly, and the taco format makes it feel fun rather than forced. It's especially great in remote teams where spontaneous praise is harder to give. It also encourages a culture of gratitude.

Samantha G., Proposal Manager

It is a quick and easy way to show recognition and celebrate teammates. Initially, I thought it might be cheesy, but when you are able to acknowledge more wins throughout the organization, they quickly become meaningful.

Elaina C., Compliance Manager

It's low-effort, high-impact culture-building โ€” and honestly, our Slack would feel weirdly empty without it.

Abhinav P., Solutions Engineering

It's brought us closer together as a team, and that's priceless. It also brings more awareness to what everyone's doing, which is another big plus!

Steven B., QA Automation Engineer
