emagineHealth is a digital-first, full-service healthcare and life sciences marketing agency with a 50-person team spread across 30 states. Since adopting HeyTaco in 2018, the fully remote team has sent over 80,000 virtual tacos — 80,000 messages of gratitude woven into the daily rhythm of work. The team keeps connection alive through a vibrant collection of Slack channels (including the beloved #petchannel), but recognition is what ties it together. The Taco Shop lets employees redeem tacos for gift cards to restaurants, airlines, and stores. But what truly sets emagineHealth apart is how they've taken recognition a step further — into philanthropy.

Tacos for Charity

Using HeyTaco's Collaborative Rewards feature, emagineHealth built a Tacos for Charity initiative. Employees collectively contribute their tacos toward a shared goal — a target of 1,000 tacos pooled together. When the goal is reached, Krystal uses a random picker to select a charity from the company's list of potential recipients. Over six years, this practice has resulted in donations to 20 different charities across the country.

What makes the program personal is how the charity list grows. When new employees join, Krystal asks them about their favorite causes and adds those organizations to the pool. Recognition becomes a reflection of the whole team — not just the people who've been there longest. Everyone's values are represented.
